With an increasing share of fluctuating renewable energies, the need for storage     technologies is growing and the  demand for reliable and safe energy storage systems is ever more increasing. The field of application for batteries is wide-ranging and the demands on them are constantly increasing. In order to meet the necessary requirements and to ensure a safe operation, battery monitoring systems are an indispensable part of the application. The primary task of the battery monitoring system (BMS) is to protect the individual cells of a battery and to increase the lifespan as well as the number of cycles.
